" Heart of a Lion "

Chadderton Park Lion's V Middleton Lads Blues

On the opening game of the season we played Middleton Lads Blues

and with only seconds to go in the match their keeper made an innocuous challenge

on one of our strikers and stayed down, seeing the pain and discomfort

the keeper was in the ref blue the final whistle.

The keeper was immediately taken to hospital and after an overnight assessment

it was discovered he had fractured his ankle in two places and

subsequently had to have two operations to repair it.

As you can imagine for a 12 year old he thought his world had fallen

apart therefore as part of his recuperation Chadderton Park Lion's decided to get a shirt signed

for him ( Tyler ) from his favorite player (Patrice Evra) this was presented to him

in the reverse fixture by our captain Nathan Jones.

Tyler is expected to return to training after Christmas and the lads and

coaching staff of the u13's lions wish him all the best for the rest of the season.
