Feedback from others

14 Feb 2011 - Unders 8's

Just a short email in praise of a couple of your managers.
My name is Garry Johnston and I run Elton & Walshaw U8s . I am an ex-pro spent 6 years with Bolton Wanderers (many years ago) and spent 20 years in semi -pro but this is my first year being involed with "kids".
And I felt I must put into print the dealings Ive had with your two guys Terry Jennings & Steve Jones. It has been a breath of fresh air compared to the rest of the league managers and they are a credit to your club. The communication and help via these two is second to none.
People are to quick to sound off these days and no-one says thank you anymore.
Well I am doing just that to you and your club well done and good luck rest of the season.
Best Regards
Garry Johnston - Manager Elton & Walshaw Under 8's

Jan 2011 - Unders 13 Eagles

My name Is Terry Flanagan a league referee associtated to Manchester FA who was assigned to your u13s game against Waterloo juniors today 9th Jan 2011.
I have just arrived home from the game in which your guys ran out easy winner 9-2 very , very good side and i felt i needed to put pen to paper so to speak, not only was i made to feel very welcome from The manager Terry and his assistants and indeed his team of youngsters it was indeed a great pleasure to ref such an enjoyable game played by two teams who showed so much respect to each other and the game.
The parents/sidelines also played their part in the overall enjoyment of the game with thier encourgament and appreciation of the skill on show, even when chaddy scored (jordan) one of his goals was that good i even applauded myself, when i looked to the sidelines both sets of parents were doing the same.
The other main reason i am contacting you is to give credit to the manager and the home team parents, they had noticed that i had been given a parking ticket by a very kind traffic warden and as i got back to my car i was about to leave and Terry came over to me and gave me a donation that the home team had collected to pay towards the parking fine.
I could not believe the generosity and kind gesture of something they clearly had no need to do, i must add that parents and coaches get some bad press at times and this gets flagged up however the good points always seem to get overlooked,it does not suprise me that your club are winners of a fair play award.
many thanks to you and your club in particular the u13s good luck to them in the next round.
Regards
Terry Flanagan

Jan 2011 - Unders 11 Eagles

Think the set up you have at chadderton fold is excellent, the place has a great friendly atmosphere for any lad/girl to play football in, very impressed along with our parents.
All the best for the remainder of the season.

Regards

Steve Littler - Manager Roach Dynamo's

Chadderton Park under 13's Lion's V Middleton Lads Blues

On the opening game of the season we played Middleton Lads Blues and with only seconds to go in the match their keeper made an innocuous challenge on one of our strikers and stayed down, seeing the pain and discomfort the keeper was in the ref blue the final whistle. The keeper was immediately taken to hospital and after an overnight assessment it was discovered he had fractured his ankle in two places and subsequently had to have two operations to repair it. As you can imagine for a 12 year old he thought his world had fallen apart therefore as part of his recuperation Chadderton Park Lion's decided to get a shirt signed for him ( Tyler ) from his favorite player (Patrice Evra) this was presented to him in the reverse fixture by our captain Nathan Jones. Tyler is expected to return to training after Christmas and the lads and coaching staff of the u13's lions wish him all the best for the rest of the season.

Oct 2011 - Unders 9 Griffins

Subject: Chadderton Park Griffins V Elton & Walshaw Tigers U9s Kay Division

Hi Terry
Just wanted to put on record an official Thank you for your gesture today after the game.

For a manager of the home team to take the time to congratulate the away team as you did today
was top drawer mate.
My boys where thrilled that the "Other Manager" had spoken in such glowing terms about there performance
and really I didnt have much to say to them afterwards thanks again.

Everyone is quick to moan point the finger and blame all and sundry, but my team learnt a lesson off you today
and I will make the point in training to them tuesday that despite the fact you lost this time the way Chaddy
kept playing football the right way and what you did after game is the way defeat should be taken.

You and Lenny and your young footballers are a credit to your club the NBJFL and football in general.
I think football is in safe hands with clubs like Chadderton and E&W and you around.

All the Best , Regards

Garry Johnston E&W U9s Tigers
