Under 8's Lions win Trophy
The under 8's Lions beat 7 other teams to win the
U8's Boundary Park Juniors FC Mini Soccer Tournament 2010.
(Played 7 group games, finished 2nd in group and then won their semi-final
against Chadderton FC Juniors 'A' 3-0 and then the final
against Boundary Park 'A' 2-1.

Local youths have apparently been playing football in one of the goal areas
every night and it has become totally bald.
Urgent pitch repair work is required before the start of the coming season

Chris Nolan
Chris Nolan ( a Level 2 coach ) at Chadderton Park
has just received his award at Wembley Stadium,
he has won a FA National Award for Leadership and Volunteer work,
he acheived this by coaching at an FA Charter standard club and also
coached and ran a team at Liverpool University.
He also coaches Chadderton Parks under 6's.

Congratulations to Mary Lynch who won
The North Manchester Girls League Manager of the Year award.
Mary's award was announced at the League's presentation night
and followed the under 10 Girls successful first season,
winning the Cup and finishing as runners-up in the league.

Chaddy Park - Recycle Kit
We are asking everyone in the club to join our
New Recycling Kit Policy
Don't throw away your old boots , shinpads, tops etc.
with feet growing so fast they are probably as good as new.
Pass your out grown boots to your team manager and
we'll keep them all down at Chaddy Fold for everyone within the club
to use, saving money and recycling . How good is that !
Players Council
We have decided to form a players council,
Basically we want 2 players from each age group to be elected
onto a players council, this council will meet twice a year
You'lll be able to put the players views across to the club committee,
it is the players club so why not have a say how it is run.
Let your Team Manager know ASAP that you would like to join the council
and once elected we'll start the 1st council meeting soon

Lottery winner - April 2010
Congratulations to Diane Harrop on winning the Club's April Lottery draw.
Diane's daughter Annabel is a prolific goal scorer for the U13s Girls team
and was in the top three league scorers last season.
Diane's lucky number 23 was drawn by Joe Newton after the recent Lions v Eagles derby match.
Diane was a bit camera shy but no prblem for Col to step forward and collect money!

Joe Slater
It's with great sadness that we received news of Joe Slater's passing on Sunday night.
Joe had been bravely battling his illness for over four years and his courage has been incredible.
Everyone at the club would like to express their deepest sympathy for Joe and his family.
Our thoughts and prayers are with them.
Mark Lengden will be running the Manchester 10k
in May in support of Cancer Research.

Sue has three children playing football for Chadderton Park FC.
George plays for the U10s (League Champions last season) and
twin sister Lizzie plays for the U10s girls (Cup winners this season).
Younger brother James is currently training with the U6s squad.

I will be running the 10K Manchester Run in May in support of Cancer Research.
Joe Slater was diagnosed with a ATRT brain tumour when he was 2 years old
but still joined our training squad a year and a half ago when the current Under 7's were just coming together.
Unfortunately, because of his illness he was unable to continue training after September 2008.
He is a remarkable little boy who has been fighting this for over 4 years.
Joe has a place in the squad reserved for whenever he is well enough to return, which we hope can be soon.
If anyone is interested in keeping up with Joe's story, the Caring Bridge site link is regularly updated

Marc's son Callum plays for the U10s team and last year captained them on their championship winning year.

Congratulations to Terry Jennings on winning the Club's January Lottery draw.

Chadderton Park came back from 2-0 down at half time to beat Chaddy Grasshoppers 3-2.
