We started the team after Jack Halliwell set up a training school for schools in the Chadderton area.
The team was made up from boys mainly from Chadderton Hall and Mills Hill schools
we trained at Grange Sports centre in Oldham.
David Boler was the first kit sponsor and we wore it for the first time at a 5 a side tournament,
From my recollection we lost every game but won a trophy for best turned out team.

This is our first sponsored kit and I think the picture was taken on the old Newton Heath pitch,
apparently a pitch Man United played on in the very early days.
This was a Cup Final against Longsight which we lost 1 - 0 to a late goal
Not a bad result as Longsight had beat Chaddy Park in the previous match 14 - 0.
Team 1984 - ( The first ever Chadderton Park team )
David Boler was the 1st kit sponsor and we wore it for the first time at a 5 a side tournament,
hence the reason for not having a full team and it being in a sports hall.
From my recollection we lost every game but won a trophy for best turned out team.

Aaron Ashforth

All at Chadderton Park FC would like to offer our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Aaron Ashforth
who, tragically, died suddenly on 30 October 2008 at the very young age of 21 years.
Aaron played for Chadderton Park from 2001 until 2005 and was a very popular member of the club. Playing in the Rochdale & Oldham Youth Football League, Aaron’s skill and hard work help his team lift both the League Cup and the Fair Play Award at Under 18s level in the 2004/5 season.
Aaron will be very sadly missed.

Congratulations
to Mark Lynch, Matt Fitton, Chris Nolan, Lee Johnson and Danny Smith (missing
from picture) on gaining their F.A. Coaching badge. All five were part of last
season’s Championship winning Under 16’s team who decided to further their
knowledge in football and take the first step on the coaching ladder by enrolling
on, and completing, the Level 1 Coaching course at Manchester FA. The minimum
age to enrol on the course is 16 years so Chris and Danny in particular, at 16
years and a few days old are the youngest coaches to qualify through Manchester
F.A. and are probably the youngest in the country. Their services are now available
to mini soccer team managers but you’ll have to be quick, they are already being
snapped up!

outstanding contribution to football in the last 12 months”
This is a fantastic achievement by the Club and just reward for all the efforts put in by players, parents, volunteers, coaches, managers and committee members to raise the standards and promote football in our community. Congratulations to everybody.

The Under 7s had cause for celebration over the weekend when they took part in Manchester F.A.’s mini soccer tournament.
This is the biggest mini soccer tournament in the U.K. attracting over 400 teams
the team picked up the only trophy available, the fair play award. Well done boys.

Congratulations to our latest successful youth coaches.
After completing their GCSE’s this year four of our Under 16s players: Chris Bardsley; Rorie Chadwick; Ricky Bloom and Andy Bardsley decided not to idle the summer way but took advantage of the club’s coaching policy and enrolled on the Level 1 coaching course at Manchester FA headquarters in the Salford Soccer Village. All four passed the course with flying colours and now can’t wait to impart their undoubted knowledge and talent on the younger players at the club!!

FA STANDARD CHARTER CLUB OF THE YEAR - REGIONAL WINNERS

October 2007 was the final meeting of the year for the Manchester F.A. Coaches Association.
The Association meets every quarter and there are always highly qualified coaches from the F.A. to pass on tips and information. This years meetings have included specialist goalkeeping training sessions; tips from Graham Keeley (Head F.A. coach North West England); a trip to Manchester United’s training ground at Carrington to watch a session with the United coaches and finally a visit from guest speaker Sir Trevor Brooking including a question and answer session.
Sir Trevor proved to be the perfect gentleman on the night spending hours answering questions on the F.A. and football generally.
He even found time to pose for a photo with Mark Lengden and Steve Lynch from Chadderton Park F.C

UNDER 10S LIONS WIN TITLE - NORTH BURY LEAGUE
Congratulation to the U10s Lions who clinched the North Bury League title. Despite being in the hunt for most of the season it seemed like the title was slipping away. In the last part of the season, however, the put together a run of wins which meant they could win the title if they won the last game of the season. And they did! Two goals from Alex Wild and a net buster from Adam Beese-Beddall ensured a 3-1 win over Woodbank and the title was theirs.

UNDER 10S WIN RADCLIFFE BOROUGH TOURNAMENT
A great day out for the Under 10s last Saturday as they won the Radcliffe Borough tournament (again!) Some fantastic football took them through the group stages and early knock-out stages where they then met another Chadderton Park team in the semi final. In what was described as the “best game of the tournament” the lads beat their colleagues 2-1 and then went out to win the final. Well done boys.

New Zealand Champions Central United play Chaddy Park

On Sunday 27th July our U15's team entertained Central United F.C. at Chapel Road Astroturf pitch. Central United are from Auckland New Zealand and are in England to compete in the finals of the Nike / Manchester United world tournament next month at Carrington. To get this far they had to win the New Zealand group of the competition and then beat the winners of the Australia and Japan groups. In all, over 7000 teams took part in these group stages.
Despite having made a 24 hour plane journey and only arriving in England the previous day, Central started the brighter of the two teams and scored the opening goal within 30 seconds of the kick off. It was the wake up call the Chadderton Park needed and within 10 minutes they were level with the equalising goal coming from Greg Ham. After that the game could have gone either way with both sides creating good chances although the Central keeper was the busier of the two keepers. All Chadderton’s good work was undone just before half time when they conceded a penalty and despite keeper Ryan Flynn getting a hand to the spot kick, the ball trickled over the line for what turned out to be the winning goal.
Prior to the kick off the Central United players performed the Haka in true Maouri warrior style that will be long remembered by all those who saw it

Hope Powell, the first woman to achieve the UEFA Pro-licence coaching award has been England Senior Women's team Coach since June 1998, most recently guiding the team to a World Cup quarter final in 2008 and reaching the final of the European Championships in 2009.

Old Phones 4 Cash
Mark Rimmer and the under 6's are running a mobile phone collection on behalf of the club,
Any kind of phone will be gladly accepted. All we need is the phone with a battery in it.
It doesn't need to be boxed, we don't need the manuals, charger or any accessories and we don't need the SIM card. As long as the phone switches on once charged that's all that matters. Phones with broken screens or keypads will be accepted but we will just get less money.
If every player contributes a minimum of 1 phone we should be able to achieve at least £1000.
If people can arrange collections at work we can supply collection boxes.
If they are passed to managers we will get them at monthly meetings.

The club are pleased to announce that under 8 coach Wayne Hurst
has passed his level 2 coaching badge.
To achieve this status, takes approx 100 hours of training at the
Manchester F.A. and ends with a final assessment.
He becomes the 9th Coach at Chadderton Park to hold the Level 2 status, joining : -

Lottery winner - August 2009

Congratulations to Mark Beddall on winning the Club's August Lottery draw.
Mark's son Adam (prolific goal scorer according to Mark!) plays for the U12s team in the North Bury League.

After spending the summer training with Unibond outfit Halifax Town
Ethan Lord ( CPFC under 13's ) was signed for the forthcoming season .
Whilst this means Ethan is no longer eligible to play for Chadderton Park
the club wish him all the best in furthering his football career.

Chaddy Park Scarf - All 92 grounds
Very recently the 
team from Oldham Athletic broke the record for visiting all
92 clubs within 75 hours. They very kindly agreed to take our Chaddy Park Scarf with them.

Another Level 2 Coach
The club are pleased to announce that under 9 coach Craig Simpson
has passed his level 2 coaching badge.
To achieve this status, takes approx 100 hours of training at the
Manchester F.A. and ends with a final assessment.
He becomes the 8th Coach at Chadderton Park to hold the Level 2 status, joining : -
Mark Beddall, Andy Mason, Chris Nolan, Frank Nolan, Mark Lengden, Frank Lynch and Steve Lynch.

Howard has won the Manchester FA - Administrator of the Year
in the Charter Standard Awards this year
Howard and his son, Adam, who played for Chadderton Park from U11 to U18 (1997 - 2005).
The trophies are Carling Cup, Manchester Senior Cup, Premier League and World Club Championship.

The above under 9 's Lions won 1 and narrowly lost to the eventually runners up with an injury time goal
The under 9's Eagles missed out on winning the the Welsh Cup by 1 goal.
They were eliminated by goal difference alone.
Having played 5, Won 3 Drew 2. They finished joint top of their group.
Rawmarsh St.Josephs ( sheffield ) won the cup having scored 11 goals to Parks 10.

The under 11's played Reddish Villa on Sunday 15th March at Chaddy Fold
This was the Semi Final of the County Cup,
Park took the lead through Tristan Jones but Villa equalised with only 10 min's remaining.
Final score 1 - 1, Extra time and maybe penalty's.
Reddish scored 2 additional goals in added time to end Chaddy Park fantastic run in a difficult cup.

SCHOOLS LEAGUE
The final games of the Club's School League were played out at Chapel Road this month.
This is the third year the Club had been involved in running the league and it was the closest finish ever with the title only decided in the last few games. St. Herbert's ended up as league winners and Mills Hill School were runners up.
With so many Chadderton Park players representing both schools it was just like watching our U11s playing.
Many thanks to Paul Scholes who once again presented the trophies.

Aaron Ashforth ( 1987 - 2008 )
All at Chadderton Park FC would like to offer our sincere condolences
to the family and friends of Aaron Ashforth who, tragically, died suddenly on 30 October 2008 at the very young age of 21 years.
Aaron played for Chadderton Park from 2001 until 2005 and was a very popular member of the club.
Playing in the Rochdale & Oldham Youth Football League, Aaron’s skill and hard work helped his team lift both
the League Cup and the Fair Play Award at Under 18s level in the 2004/5 season.
Aaron will be very sadly missed.

Manchester FA Skills Programme
Thursday 10th November 2008 saw the launch of Manchester FA's new skills program. The evening consisted of several demonstrations by the FA's new skills team and with plans to set up skill centres around the area including one in Oldham, it could be of great benefit to our players.
That was followed by a training session run by Stuart Pearce and Steve Wigley from England U21s which was later described as "amazing" and well worth an evening stood out in the cold again at the FA. However John, Mark and Matt needed little persuasion to visit the Salford sports Village.
Just a photo opportunity with Stuart Pearce was enough!

Joe Slater
It's with great sadness that we received news of Joe Slater's passing on Sunday night.
Joe had been bravely battling his illness for over four years and his courage has been incredible.
Everyone at the club would like to express their deepest sympathy for Joe and his family.

Another Two Level 2 Coaches
The club are pleased to announce that we now have 2 more Level 2 coaches
Both Terry Jennings & Ian Stevenson
have passed the level 2 coaching badge.
To achieve this status, takes approx 100 hours of training at the
Manchester F.A. and ends with a final assessment.
We now have 11 Coaches at Chadderton Park holding the Level 2 status,
Wayne Hurst, Mark Beddall, Andy Mason, Chris Nolan, Frank Nolan,
Mark Lengden, Craig Simpson, Frank Lynch and Steve Lynch.

The under 8's Lions beat 7 other teams to win the
U8's Boundary Park Juniors FC Mini Soccer Tournament 2010.
(Played 7 group games, finished 2nd in group and then won their semi-final
against Chadderton FC Juniors 'A' 3-0 and then the final
against Boundary Park 'A' 2-1.

Chris Nolan
Chris Nolan ( a Level 2 coach ) at Chadderton Park
has just received his award at Wembley Stadium,
he has won a FA National Award for Leadership and Volunteer work,
he acheived this by coaching at an FA Charter standard club and also
coached and ran a team at Liverpool University.
He also coaches Chadderton Parks under 6's.

Congratulations to Mary Lynch who won
The North Manchester Girls League Manager of the Year award.
Mary's award was announced at the League's presentation night
and followed the under 10 Girls successful first season,
winning the Cup and finishing as runners-up in the league.

Scholes Shirt
The under 14s have been raising money for there Spring tournament to Sunny Cleethorpes in May.
They have been selling raffle tickets for a signed Paul Scholes shirt.
The draw was made on Tuesday 1st March after training.
The winning ticket was bought by Dan Whitworth who used to play for the club .
Dan was part of Championship winning team for the under 18s 2009/10 season.
He is also an avid Manchester United fan & even had no .18 as his squad number.
The shirt raised several hundred pounds with all proceeds helping funding the tournament ,
thanks to all who participated in the draw.

Charlie Evans has become the first junior referee that the Club has produced.
Charlie recently qualified as a referee at Manchester FA
and as well as playing for and captaining the girls U15s team
she now referees in the U10s Division of the North Manchester Girls League.

that the use of 'Snoods' scarf's are NOT Allowed during Training or Matches

North Bury Inter league u14s
Chaddy Park under 14s had 5 players selected to play in the North Bury inter league team
They lost 3 - 1 to the Craven Minor league from merseyside.
In the picture are Bradley Renshaw , Matthew Nicholls , Danny Watkins , Dylan Melvin
not pictured but also played Siddique Ahmed.

Under 5's - Streetlink
Chaddy Park will now be offering football sessions for under 5’s (separate to under 6’s).
The sessions will take place on Tuesday’s 6-7 at the Millennium Centre on Featherstall Road, Westwood.
The sessions are being run with Chadderton Park FC coaches and in conjunction with Street Link Football Academy.
Street link is an initiative born from New Life Church - Failsworth. They aim to provide enjoyable, age appropriate activity for all ages through playing football, which provides healthy exercise helping young people to live active lifestyles and promote team work, sportsmanship and good behaviour.
We are the only club in the area who provide football sessions dedicated to under 5s (Reception Year).
We will have circa 25 places available. Depending on popularity we may do a second night.
Cost will be £15 per month with a £10 membership fee from November 2010.

Chaddy Parks U8s Football Festival
The Chadderton Park FC u8s Football Festival in association with
Hopwood Hall College will take place on the 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th January.
We have 24 teams split the teams into 3 groups. Each team will play 2 consecutive 30 min games each week.
We have teams from Bridge FC, seedfield, Rossendale, Littleborough,
Pennine, cheetham Hill, Sale United, hopwood Hall and Heyside taking part.
Please come down and support each Saturday morning.

At this weekends game CPFC under 12 Eagles v Pennine
Colleen Slater ( mum of star player Ryan ) had a photo taken of herself

Chadderton Park FC have again won the Manchester FA Fairplay Award
2010 / 2011. We were choosen by a panel from
the Manchester F.A. from a shortlist of clubs.
We have an excellant disciplinary record and show an outstanding
commitment to the RESPECT Campaign.
The club will shortly be presented with the award and a cheque for £ 200

Chaddy Park entered 4 teams and all 4 teams played very well with
very impressive performances against strong oppositions.

Club Treasurer - Steps Down
Howard Pilling - Chaddy Parks Club Tresurer has decided to step down
from this role and his position on the commitee due to work commitments.
You may not know Howard but the amount of time and effort that he has given
to the success and the growth of Chaddy Park has been Fantastic
The Committee would like to say a HUGE Thankyou to Howard
for his services over the years.
Howard has offered to help the new Tresurer take over this Important Role

Our under 9s Lions and Eagles met in the NorthBury Main Cup Final
The Eagles took an early lead from a Luc Tracey strike.
With only 10 mins to go Joe Lord equalised for the Lions
and Will Parker scored a late winner for the Lions
