On Sunday 5th July the Chadderton Park Girls teams went across to Blackpool to play

Bispham Junior Wrens U14s team. Despite  having to adapt to 9-a-side football; playing on a bigger grass pitch with larger goals and a much longer match than they are used to, the girls put in a fantastic performances and ran out narrow 3-2 winners against Bispham.

Our thanks go to Mike Connell from Bispham Junior Wrens for the warm welcome and hospitality his club provided.

His team played some fantastic football with the emphasis on attack and played in the true spirit of the game.

Despite the girls running themselves into the ground, they managed to save enough energy for the Pleasure Beach

and I thought some were never going to come home!
